The Friday Evening Patriot: Today's Conservatism
(Friday, November 7th, 2008) So where are we to go next?
t's a hard reality to face but one that does have to be met head on, when put to the test the conservative movement in America was found lacking. Victory was too far from our grasps and defeat too close on our cusp for it to have been any other way, and when it came right down to it there was no one to blame but ourselves.
Enamored with power, finding ourselves in control of the Executive and Legislative Branches of government Republican conservatism wavered. Seeking compromise when given a mandate to bring about real and sincere change, caving on core ideas and principles because too much pressure was placed on the leadership when put to the test, and catering to corrupt influences that were more interested in lining their own pockets than serving the public good the first of the falls from grace would come in 2006, 14 years after American's gave the Contract with America there approval and six years after a new governing majority would sweep the Democratic Party into a political Diaspora. Two years later, the second fall would come, offering the same trust once given to the Republicans.

PROJECT PATRIOT ACTION: Thinking about the Constitution
(Tuesday, October 28th, 2008) What does it mean?
There has been a lot of talk this election cycle about the Constitution. Whether it was during the Republican Primary, with Texas Congressman Ron Paul and his passionate pleas for what he called strict adherence, or former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and the talk that he would amend to include some recognition of a God, or now the talk surrounding Illinois Senator Barack Obama and his statement about redistributive wealth in a 2001 interview, were he said “It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as it has been interpreted”, it has become one of those issues now open for discussion.
But amidst that there really has to be a question that arises, what is the Constitution and what does it mean?
Over 200 years ago, a small group of men gathered from the now liberated 13 colonies, met together in the State House in Philadelphia.
